Saguaro Camera Club Outings & Shoots
The Saguaro Camera Club has a number of outings during the course of the year. These may range from day trips to overnight photo shoots. There are also many other events planned during the year. Members are welcome to invite guests to attend planned outings and shoots.
December thru early January is when the Phoenix Desert Botanical Garden holds its annual luminary display throughout the garden. Those club members wishing to get together for a shoot should contact Nancy Sams to coordinate a time as this is a very busy time for the garden and tickets may be limited. Also, the garden is presenting a display of world renowned sculptor Dale Chihuly glass sculptures throughout the garden. Tickets for this event ARE limited, however both events together would surely make for some beautiful images. Late afternoon - early evening is the best time as the sculptures may be photographed in both day and evening light. Contact Nancy Sams so this shoot may be planned.
Members of the club are planning to go to the Sonoran Desert Wildlife Museum to photograph the raptures. Anyone wishing to go may contact Nancy Sams for details on carpooling and times.
The club is holding its annual 'Pizza Party' at Organ Stop Pizza at 5:30 pm. Organ Stop Pizza is located just west of Stapley Road on the southwest corner. More information will be available at the club's December 9th meeting.
