Program and Club Competition Schedule

January 10, Competition "Nature" is the assigned subject.
January 16, Annual pizza party at the Organ Stop Pizza on the corner of Stapley and Southern in Mesa. The doors open at 4:00 PM. We generally arrive round 5:00 PM and sit in the upper level after ordering our pizza on the lower level.
January 23, Field to the Desert Museum near Tucson. We should plan on arriving around 8:30 to get some morning photography in before the free flight program begins at 10:0 AM.
January 24, Year End Awards. Plan on arriving at our normal meeting place in the fire station by 6:00 PM for fellowship. Bring a snack or finger food to share.to share
January 24, Prints are due at the meeting for ACCC Spring Roundup.
February 14, Competition. "Monochrome" is the assigned subject.
February 24-26, Lost Dutchman Rodeo. Saturday is the best day to photograph.
February 28. Program Night. Fred and Karen Busack will be presenting a program on shooting humming birds and other birds. Both Fred and Karen are accomplished nature photographers with much to share.
March 9. ACCC Spring Roundup. The spring roundup will be held in Sun City again. Registration forms and program schedule will be available at the February club meeting.
March 14, Competition. Tree or trees are the assigned subject.
March 28, Program Night. Lou Romain will be presenting a program on "Portraiture." Lou is well known for his excellence in this area and is prepared to present the basics along with some advanced tips and share some of his favorite techniques. There will something for everyone with his program.
March 30. Judging for the Saguaro International Nature Exhibition. The judging will be at the fire station where we hold our regular meetings. All members are invited to attend. (Note this was rescheduled from March 16)
April 11, Competition. "Silhouette" will be the assigned subject. This will also be the assigned subject for the ACCC Spring Roundup.
April 25, Program Night. TBA
May 9, Competition. "Face or Faces" is the assigned subject.
May 23, Program Night. Dick Lund will present a series of tutorials to help us improve our images.
June, No regular meetings are scheduled.
July, No regular meetings are scheduled.
August 8, Summer Competition Men vs Women. This is our summer fun competition. Members may enter two open and two nature images. The scores do not enter into the standing for the year. Images used in this competition may be used again in regular monthly competitions.
September 12, Competition. "Photo Travel" is the assigned subject.
September 26, Program Night. TBA.
October 10, Competition. "Street Scenes" is the asssigned subject. This is the same assigned subject ACCC will have at the Spring Roundup in 2014.
October 24, Program Night. TBA
November 14, Competition. "Photo Journalism" is the assigned subject.
November 28, Program Night. TBA
December 12, Competition. "Creative" is the assigned subject.
December 19, Annual Holiday Party. More information will be made available later in the year.
